Job Description of Manufacturing Technician 2
Hours: 1stShift – Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
2ndShift – Monday – Thursday 3:00 PM to 12:30AM (36 hours; paid for 40)
3rdShift – Monday – Thursday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (32 hours; paid for 40)
Wage: Based upon experience
Operation of CNC and Manual Machine shop Equipment to produce various products and parts of products. Duties to include the following but not limited to:
- Operating CNC equipment and manufacturing cells
- Maintaining cycle efficiency and minimizing cycle reload time
- Operating manual machines
- Cutting Stock
- Deburring
- Checking quality of parts with assistance
- Light assembly
- Sandblasting
- Shows interest and initiative in job
Other duties may be required due to production demands that are not listed.
The “Manufacturing Technician 2” will show good Mechanical aptitude and general machine shop knowledge of measuring tools and metal cutting equipment. Practice good shop safety procedures. Make good use of downtime. Also keep a neat and orderly work area.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years machining experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
- Good communication & multi-tasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player
- Willingness to continuously learn & be open to feedback to improve individual performance
- Neat and orderly work area
- Availability to work overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
