Position Overview: Business and functional leader responsible for overall marketing objectives, strategies and key initiatives that enable business growth targets. They are an Amazon marketing expert who understands how to leverage the Amazon platform to reach qualified audiences and effectively convert them across Samsung’s product portfolio. By applying their expertise and knowledge of Amazon’s site merchandising and advertising platforms, they will create best in class experiences at each stage of the shopper journey. They will report to the VP/GM of the Samsung Amazon sales team, leading a team of marketers focused on driving Samsung’s vision and winning with Amazon shoppers. The dynamic leader will be responsible for (1) overall marketing objectives, strategies and plans to enable joint business growth targets; (2) key initiative development and internal/external sell in; (3) execution with excellence; (4) agency and 3rd party resource management; (4) marketing budget planning, management and reconciliation; and (5) organizational capability and development. Role and Responsibilities Responsibilities and Duties: Build a world class marketing team that embraces innovation and delivers top and bottom line results. Bring new ideas, creativity, and insights to win across the Amazon consumer experience journey. Develop and align marketing near-term and long-term objectives, goals, strategies and initiative plan. Ensure alignment of all strategies, tactical programs, communications, and activities across marketing channels. Deliver against joint business/marketing plans, set and monitor key performance indicators and milestones, hold stakeholders accountable, and build out critical infrastructure and team needs to deliver results. Lead efforts to understand our consumer, customer and competitive set; and leverage learning to redefine Samsung’s consumer experience across the Amazon platform, in a way that delivers joint business goals. Launch experiments and provide data-driven, analytically rigorous insights to test different approaches and iterate on the digital marketing strategy. Manages cross-functional teams to deliver marketing programs, including product introductions, performance marketing strategic initiatives and promotional events. Analyze results, present learning to Samsung leadership and contribute in developing overall business strategy. Develop strong, collaborative working relationships across the organization. Manage a team of marketers and develop their marketing skillset across all marketing disciplines. Lead multiple agency relationships and inspire breakthrough user experience, creative, media and marketing plans. Skills and Qualifications Background/Experience Required: Proven functional and business expert with 10 years’ experience in marketing, site merchandising, brand management, e-commerce, or related field. Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred. Deep understanding of the Amazon ecosystem and evolving landscape and a clear point of view of how to categorize, measure, and analyze disparate data to draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations. Experience working with Amazon’s site merchandising and advertising platforms. Strong business acumen, with proven record of influencing business decisions with fact-based insights, retail & competitive intelligence, consumer understanding, and digital expertise. Strong persuasive skills and ability to influence decision-makers and align stakeholders across multiple departments. Outstanding leader with strong cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to lead a multi-functional and disciplined marketing organization. High-level of confidence, integrity, enthusiasm, executive presence that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high attention to detail. The salary range for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. However, the salary ranges in the following regions are expected to be as follows: Washington State: $191,000 to $209,500 Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Tuition Assistance (after 6 months), Paid Time Off, Student Loan Program (after 6 months), Wellness Incentives, and many more.
