The Finance team within Samsung Semiconductor Inc. (SSI) is a small high energy team providing finance partnership to business leaders across all functions. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a high impact team in a fast-growing organization. We provide analysis to support strategic decisions and conduct financial reviews of a wide range of business issues and manage financial processes such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and tracking performance.
OVERVIEW & IMPACT:
The Associate Manager, Financial Management will be part of the CFO office at SSI. They will be working as an individual contributor to help analyze SSI actual operating results of Semiconductor Sales & Marketing business throughout the year and compare to monthly forecast and yearly plan and interpret data and presents results to management.
This role will gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans and operating status. Collaborate cross-functionally with other operation groups including HR, Purchasing, Accounting, and General Affairs to support the entire DSA groups.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Finance business partner role supporting sales and marketing teams in price setting, deal support, etc. Key role in strategic deal reviews and support execution.
- Partner closely with Operations team to drive a multiple projects to align with all stakeholders and check each deliverables on time.
- Project Management: understand and identify risks and potential problem areas and propose potential solutions and operational improvements to issues or problems.
- Participate in cross functional company task forces on various projects.
- Ad hoc analysis and research with intense data mining for financial leadership.
- Publish weekly reports to executives and FP&A.
- Develop and present strategic insights about the business, including identifying and measuring business drivers.
- Produce financial reports related to sales, expenses/budgets, profits, cost savings, etc.
- Develop long-term business plans based on these reports (Annual Business Plan).
- Review monitoring and management of budgets (Closely work with Cost center leaders to ensure the ongoing budget does not exceed over the original plan).
- Work closely with business operations leaders, finance, accounting, HQ, and other Sales team members to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
- 5 years of mixed experience in finance, strategic planning, and technical marketing for major tech companies and/or business consulting.
- Experience as a finance business partner supporting operational teams such as General Affairs with a thorough understanding of financial and management reporting.
