Health & Wellness Department Administrative Assistant: Part-time
This position supports operations of the Health & Wellness Dept. by planning, organizing and implementing administrative systems. Which includes setup, design and maintenance of the program registration for the Health & Wellness Dept.
The Administrative Assistant performs program registrations/enrollments, tracking and reporting of program participants, handling incoming calls/emails and in general, providing a high level of customer service interfacing with the Commonpoint Queens member families and the general public.
Essential duties:
○ Register participants for the Health & Wellness Department programs.
This includes collecting documents and payments, parent follow-up, etc.
○ Answer phones, check and return messages, check and respond to emails and assist walk-in customers in a timely manner (if and when you are in-person).
○ Assist in handling billing, payment plans, refunds and collections.
○ Monitor enrollment numbers
○ Assist with camp fairs, open houses and other promotional events.
○ Ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 3 years equivalent experience.
2. Must possess an understanding of computer systems, program set-up, spreadsheets, accounting procedures, and good business practices.
3. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of customers as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
4. Experience in data management, customer service and & general office functions.
5. Familiarity with summer camp setting is a PLUS.
6. Must be flexible and adaptable.
Weekly schedule may include one weekend day and some evening hours.
Job Details: Starting Salary: $15 - 18 per hour based on experience
Hours: Part-time, evenings, weekdays, some weekends needed
