Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Print out the Receiving Schedule for daily deliveries
- Performs daily/shift pre-inspection checklists for Cranes and Rail King.
- Ensures all truck deliveries are by appointment only.
- Unloads delivery trucks with overhead crane and moves the railcars with the Rail King (Mobile Railcar Mover) into the building and unloads utilizing the overhead crane.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant government and company regulations.
- Verify weights and measurements of the coils being delivered & the delivery driver receives a copy of the paperwork.
- Creates receiving / shipping tags as per customer requirements
- Ensures the material is identified correctly and inputs the material identity into the computerized system and hangs material inventory tag on the material identifying SMP tag number on inside diameter of coil. Locates material in assigned inventory locations and inputs locations in the ERP system.
- Verify that the daily receiving report matches inbound receipts.
- Updates and maintains Receiving log inquiry and maintenance.
- Maintains neat and accurate records of incoming materials.
- Calculates daily received / ship tons and forward to shipping Supervisor and Operations Manager.
- Generates daily delivery performance report and updates master spread sheet.
- Communicate with Production Supervisors and Material Handlers regarding any required audits.
- Reconcile Production documents when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Organizes and maintains organization of pallets or any other material/products, as needed.
General
- Complies with the designated IATF16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.
- Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and all department personnel and visitors utilize safe work habits. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as always required
- Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards
- Strives for continuous improvement
Position Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of job-related experience.
