Position: Security Guard – Phoenix, AZ
Reports To: Assistant Directory, Player Development- Operations
Department: Player Development
Duration: February 2024- December 2024
Position Summary:
Maintains the security and integrity of the Papago training facility, directing fans to the appropriate viewing areas and secures restricted areas including parking lots.
Provides excellent customer service to all players, employees, guests and fans.
Position Responsibilities:
· Assist in facility and event security operations
· Assure non-Giants personnel stay within the spectator areas and do not enter restricted areas
· Assure that both parking lots are secure
· Assist fans and outside personnel with questions and pointing them to the appropriate spectator areas.
· Responsible for reporting any issues with the facility during assigned shifts
· Extensive employee and customer involvement
Skills and Qualifications:
· Must be comfortable standing and walking to navigate the facility.
· Position is outside so must be able to be in direct sun for the duration of the shift
· Previous security experience preferred, but not required
· Strong customer service skills
· Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to speak Spanish preferred, but not required
· Greet and assist fans in a professional manner
· Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds.
· Must flexible hours of availability starting at 6:00am daily with a flexible schedule based on practices, game times and additional event needs in the Spring. Shift endtimes may vary based on practice and game schedules.
