Under the administrative direction of the Executive Director of Budget Services, the 1820 Junior Administrative Analyst will be an integral part of a team. The Analyst will work closely with their team in the preparation of financial statements, including the development of schools and central office budgets, analysis of balance sheet accounts, revenue and expenditure tracking as well as perform account reconciliation for monthly and year-end closing. The Analyst will also support critical functions in Budget Services, for example the processing and review of extended pay for staff district-wide, and support other functions as assigned.
We expect our 1820 Junior Administrative Analyst to perform the following important and essential duties:
1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; AND one (1) year of professional
experience in budget analysis, financial analysis and reporting, legislative/policy analysis, or contract/grant
administration.* (One (1) year of experience is equivalent to 2,000 hours)
OR;
2. Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, public or
business administration, economics, urban studies, public policy or a related field.
SUBSTITUTION: May substitute up to 2 years of the required education with additional qualifying experience in budget
analysis, financial analysis and reporting, legislative/policy analysis, or contract/grant administration. One year (2,000
hours) of additional qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester/45 quarter units.
SFUSD offers a competitive salary of $62,131.68 - $75,317.63 commensurate with experience in a similar position.
