What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Improvement Facilitator position at San Manuel?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Facilitation and Collaboration: Leads and facilitates the Lean Training Program, Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects. Works closely with departments to analyze processes, identify waste or inefficiencies, and develop improvement strategies.
2. Project Management: Leads improvement initiatives, which may include defining goals and objectives, project plans, establishing timelines, and status reports. Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementations and provides guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Measurement and Analysis: Collects and analyzes data from improvement initiatives and identifies areas of improvement. Works with department stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and tracks progress towards improvement goals.
4. Process Analysis and Mapping: Assists departments with process flow mapping for enterprise process projects and utilizes Lean methodologies to identify root causes to develop data-driven solutions.
5. Change Management: Supports change management initiatives by effectively communicating change benefits and impacts to relevant stakeholders. Assists in developing training materials, as needed.
6.Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or related methodologies is required.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation of training, projects, or Kaizen events is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in hospitality and/or casino operations is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Must have prior working experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet and/or comparable project management tools.
- Must have experience demonstrating the utmost discretion and confidentiality as the team member has access to confidential information including, but not limited to guest contact information, guest financial data, and enterprise financial data.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Professional certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
