Truck Shop Technician
Team member is responsible for the quality repair of the company’s assets.
Reports to: Truck Shop Foreman

- Read and interpret parts, service and technical manuals

- Working knowledge of Viewpoint and other software required to perform job
Core Duties:
- Lead by example

- Work with cost effectiveness, profitability and safety in mind
- Control the hazards you and your team members are subjected to by correcting hazards as soon as they are present
- Complete time sheet with pertinent info from the day’s activity
- Understand the expected results for your day prior to work beginning
- Ensure work area is safe of any hazard to you or your team members
- Inspect and inventory parts and supplies upon delivery. Report any deficiencies to the Parts Manager immediately
- Inspect equipment and hand tools; have deficient items repaired/replaced
- Ensure all rigging for lifting is within capacity
- Ensure truck lifts are safe and working within capacity
- Blocking is to be stable and solid
- Take all necessary actions to repair the root cause of the failure
- Ensure equipment, trucks and trailers are kept clean, neat, and orderly
- Oversee inspection and maintenance of generators
- Assist with adding and disposal of vehicles including logos, paperwork in trucks, and other needed items.
- Perform routine PMs based on maintenance schedule for equipment as directed by the Truck Shop Foreman
- Provide repairs needed away from the shop as directed by the Truck Shop Foreman
- Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities
- Willingness to work hours as required

Education/Training/Certification:
- OSHA Training
- Technical Training
- Forklift Certification
- First Aid/CPR
- MSAC Certification
- Commercial Driver’s License
