Job Description:
The Nonclinical Case Manager will provide medical case management and administrative support services to the Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG) in order to maintain an effective and medically ready force. This position is responsible for processing medical documentation, tracking individual medical readiness, and guiding Soldiers through various medical and administrative processes.
Responsibilities:
· Manage Line of Duty (LOD) investigations and processing in accordance with regulations. Ensure timely completion and routing of LOD packets.
· Prepare and submit Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) packets for all permanent profiles meeting threshold. Ensure timely submission to MEB Tracking Office.
· Validate Non-Duty Related Physical Evaluation Board (NDR-PEB) cases and submit as required.
· Manage profiles, medical waivers, and deployment readiness tracking.
· Prepare and submit Defense Health Agency pre-authorizations for medical care as needed.
· Guide Soldiers through Physical Evaluation Boards, MEB/PEB processes, hearing programs, and other medical boards as required.
· Attend pre-deployment meetings and ensure deployment readiness of mobilizing units.
· Coordinate appointment scheduling and treatment follow-up for Soldiers with medical needs.
· Populate and maintain tracking systems with updated medical and administrative case details.
· Provide training and consultation services to unit medical staff as assigned.
· Adhere to regulations including HIPAA and other DoD/Army requirements.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Three years experience providing administrative or medical case management support
· Knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, and administrative medical processes
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 0800-1700 with occasional evening/weekend work as required to support unit events.
