Job Summary: Sanford Federal, Inc. is seeking Teacher Services at Manhattan Psychiatric Center
Requirements:
- Educate and support students to help them accomplish their learning benchmarks.
- Plan lessons that target specific skills and concepts.
- Creating, assigning, and grading various assessments for students, including tests.
- Develop lesson plans and successfully instruct students in theories, methods, and tasks.
- Manage classroom behaviors to keep students engaged in the lesson.
- Provide individual support and feedback to students.
- Effectively communicate with students, complex ideas, clear objectives for lessons.
- Practicing active listening skills to understand and adapt to students various learning needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interest and learning styles of the students.
- Encourage students to explore learning opportunities and career paths.
- Work one-on-one with students when they need extra help or attention.
Qualifications:
- The Candidates shall provide a qualified licensed Teacher to perform full-time teacher services on-site for clients of Manhattan Psychiatric Center
- The Candidates will need to be knowledgeable in the TASC (GED) subject and will need to prepare the students to be proficient in: writing, social studies, math, reading, and science.
- NYS teaching certification in Students with Disabilities/Special Education. A certificate, extension, limited extension, or statement of continued eligibility (SOCE) in grades 7-12 and in the subject area to be taught.
