Job Summary
Provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform according to location standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans.
Dependent on the location, participates in structured training sessions to acquire skills to obtain certification to provide a higher level of resident care.
Helps residents with outerwear or shoes as needed. Assures residents' spiritual needs are met by willing and employees (Self or others).
Assists residents by passing snacks and trays, pouring beverages as needed, and maintaining pleasant dining atmosphere. Assists residents in maintaining proper and clean appearance.
Safeguards residents' property. Keeps residents' living areas pleasant and orderly. Provides residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans.
Maintains residents' self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personal information.
Documents care provided to residents. Receives and shares information; observes and reports residents' conditions to appropriate staff.
Works with team members and other staff members in a helpful, respectful, and courteous manner. Assists residents in meeting their social needs through interaction with staff, family, and other residents.
Responds appropriately to resident requests for help and maintains positive relationships with residents' friends and family members.
Assists residents in meeting their social needs through interaction with staff, family, and other residents. Seeks clarification of assignments and asks questions when needed.
Expresses ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively both orally and in writing. Requests ongoing feedback on task performance.
Completes documentation as assigned. Listens effectively, shares work-related information with appropriate staff members.

Maintains safe work practices and follows center / campus safety procedures.
Follows center / campus infection control procedures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
If working at a facility in which a lift is utilized to move residents, must meet the minimum state age requirement.
