Job Summary
The Physician Recruiting Specialist partners with Physician Recruiters and Provider Sourcing Strategists in the successful coordination and administration of the entire recruitment process of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers at Sanford Health. Functions as a resource for the department leadership team. Works closely with firms and independent contractors to secure Physician and Advanced Practice Provider coverage. Responds to inquiries related to the terms and conditions of employment. Coordinates candidate meetings for interviews and facilitates communication with all stakeholders involved in the interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training to create a seamless, consistent, positive experience for the new clinician. This can include coordinating with the appropriate leadership to prepare staff and facilities; scheduling training and education sessions; promoting a welcoming atmosphere; coordinating systems and technology access and securing other 'welcome' resources and communications for clinician and/or family. Additional duties include invoicing, processing of contracts, supply management, coordination of career fairs, reports, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Articulates an understanding of the service line/department business goals, strengths and opportunities. Actively promotes cross-team collaboration and information sharing. Communicates status and progress. Ability to work and communicate with diverse backgrounds. Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills necessary. Must present a professional attitude, attire and demeanor with physicians, APPs and the community. Must manage stress well. Knowledge of legal process and legal terminology. Must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Within this role, responsibilities include:
- Processing agency invoices. Approximately 150 received weekly. Review for accuracy of hours, expenses and dispute discrepancies as needed.
- Creating timesheets for independent contractors to track direct patient care and on call hours.
- Sending agency timesheets to department directors for approval and create a tracking process for reviewing prior approvals.
- Manage in house payment process for internal locum providers utilizing software API Healthcare and Workday for processing medical license, mileage, and applicable reimbursement.
- Facilitate completion and submission of required documentation to set up independent contractor vendor accounts.
Bachelor’s Degree required. In lieu of education, leadership may accept six years of applicable experience. Area of focus in Healthcare, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred.
Three years of related experience working with Physician Recruitment, Health Care Management or Health Care Human Resources preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license. Must maintain a good driving record.
