Position Title: Associate Director, Analytics
Job Description:
The primary objectives of this position are to lead cross functional projects and transform data into meaningful, action-oriented business insights which will lead to optimal resource utilization. This position is responsible to create analytics to help improve the strategy and tactics of the marketing & sales organization. Strong business knowledge, experience in advanced analytics/ data mining techniques, experience in project management and an ability to apply analytics to a real world setting with imperfect data, are critical to success in this role. Experience to analyze digital data will be a plus as the company is focusing on digital growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead development, implementation, coordination, and communication of analytics projects that have significant impact on Commercial Operations ability and are driven by key business questions to make timely decisions.
Closely work with Brand and Sales teams to better understand overall strategy, identify business critical questions, and propose data-based solutions to provide meaningful and actionable insights.
This role brings expertise in groundbreaking analytics and data science methodologies partnered with the ability to apply new approaches to current or upcoming business challenges.
Ability to analyze complex situations and processes and effectively integrate and synthesize the data to form a complete cohesive picture is very important
Ensure accuracy of analysis by developing and adhering to QC/validation procedures to achieve the highest level of accuracy and quality standards. Contribute to team validation efforts.
Support the Sr. Director of Analytics on major cross-functional project through duties such as coordination of committees, vendor management, and determination of analytical methodology.
Partner closely with Analytics, Reporting, IG and IS Teams to ensure data/reporting required for analysis is delivered to key customers (e.g. Product Marketing, Sales, Senior Management) in a timely and accurate manner. Also, ensure dashboards, strategic reports/analysis, and ad hoc information is delivered efficiently and timely to support business needs.
Partner with IS and team members to identify and drive operational efficiencies and the strategic vision of the department while aligning with company goals and objectives towards revenue generation.
During times of high project volume, this position will take on a leadership role helping to manage projects.
Explore and apply new data, tools, and methodologies, and adapt to vaccines environment and business.
Education/Experience and other skills:
4 – 6 years of experience in commercial analytics, advanced mathematical models such as Market Mix modeling, sales force effectiveness or digital analytics
Bachelor’s degree required in Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research or Engineering
Master’s degree required in one of the above subjects
In- depth knowledge of advanced analytic skills required
Project management experience to lead large cross functional projects a plus
Experience in healthcare industry, pharmaceuticals, or vaccines is preferred, especially in working with imperfect data sets.
Strong and effective communications skills as well as interpersonal skills required
Demonstrated thought leadership in ambiguous business challenges and ability to explain complex ideas to different audiences ranging from executive to the most technical programmer.
Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
Software Skills Desired: Microsoft Office, SAS or Python or R, Tableau
