What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distinguished Scientist DMPK Project Expert position at Sanofi?
Sanofi is seeking a highly experienced scientist to join the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) research platform of the North American Hub. This role is currently based in Waltham but will move to Cambridge in 2022 and will be a hybrid role that allows for work on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent DMPK on preclinical development projects to ensure effective integration of DMPK science into the company’s strategy of developing first and best in class therapies for Oncology, Inflammatory and Rare/Neurological diseases.
Contribute to the project team strategy at the early discovery phase up to first in human (FIH) trials
Characterize ADME and PK properties of small molecules, biologics and/or gene therapies
Aid in the development of PKPD strategies for preclinical development programs
Conceive and implement the preclinical strategy for predicting human efficacious and safe starting dose levels for first in human clinical trials
Mentor junior scientists on ADME and PKPD strategies and their applications in pre-clinical drug development
Contribute to the writing and submission of regulatory documents.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics or other relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree and 18 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s and 18 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to drive and lead ADME and PKPD strategies for discovery project teams
The ability to function in a matrix environment and communicate with a diverse set of ever-changing individuals is a must
Experience with multiple drug modalities including small molecules, biologics and gene therapies
Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
The ability to conduct non-compartmental analysis (NCA) for non-GLP PK and TK reports is required
Ability to conduct PKPD analysis is a must
Experience with the preparation of documents for regulatory submission (IND/IMPD/CTX) is a plus
