What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Scientific Publications Lead, Dermatology position at Sanofi?
The Publications Lead, Dermatology will be responsible for the development and execution of the Global Publication Plan for Dupilumab in Dermatology (Atopic Dermatitis). This includes strategic planning, cross-functional partnership, and leadership in development of the plan as well as ensuring the compliant execution of tactics in accordance with global medical strategy, industry standards (ie. ICMJE, GPP), and Sanofi policies. This role will involve close collaboration with medical and cross-functional stakeholders, publications agencies, alliance partners, and global affiliates.
The ideal candidate will have publications management experience and a clear understanding of publication planning, operations, and industry guidelines. Candidates must possess the ability to direct multiple complex projects, direct agencies and medical writers, and ensure timelines and deliverables are maintained. In addition, candidates must adhere to policies and best practices in publication governance including internal and external reviews and approvals, compliance activities, reporting, and metrics.

Domestic and international travel will be required (approx. 10%).

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of the annual publication plan for Dupilumab in Atopic Dermatitis, including strategic and tactical planning, prioritization of scientific communications priorities, and budget
Ensure the compliant execution of publications in accordance with approved medical strategy, industry guidelines, and established timelines
Collaborate with Medical study leads, cross-functional partners, and affiliates to ensure synergistic tactical planning and execution of publication deliverables and associated outputs
Lead and/or contribute to global publication planning team meetings, as well as other cross-functional or alliance meetings.
Oversee publications agencies to manage operational logistics associated with project planning and execution
Develop and maintain reasonable expertise in the dermatology therapeutic area and Dupilumab mechanism of action
Participate in or lead training activities for internal stakeholders as required
Participate in relevant cross-functional teams and task forces and give presentations to colleagues and senior management as required
Scope of Work
Adult Atopic Dermatitis Phase 4 /extension studies and key prioritized manuscripts (i.e., 5 yr open label, hand and foot)
Encores and Adaptations are included in this scope but may be supported by another resource (i.e., agency or hub)
Key Qualifications
Advanced scientific or clinical degree in the life sciences (e.g., Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D.)
At least 2 years’ experience in a publication management role or medical writing role, and/or 3-5 years’ experience in medical affairs, scientific communications, or related role
Knowledge of industry guidelines pertaining to data dissemination (e.g., CONSORT, ICMJE, GPPs) and interactions with health care providers (e.g., PhRMA Code, AdvaMed guidelines)
Experience and demonstrated skill in the analysis, communication and presentation of complex scientific and medical data
Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and verbal and written communication skills
