Sanofi is seeking an experienced Head of Infrastructure to be a member of it’s Technology leadership team. This is a technical leadership role with overall responsibility and accountability for the people, processes, and technology that make up the company’s Infrastructure organization. This role ensures that Sanofi’s technology infrastructure is reliable, scalable, flexible, and secure. He/she also ensures the development and adoption of new technologies and capabilities such as cloud computing, IoT, and Gops (DevOps, SecOps, FinOps, etc.).
The Head of Infrastructure is responsible for an organization of about 150 FTE’s and multiple vendors, as well as multiple managed service contracts.
The Head of Infrastructure will be accountable for:
Providing leadership and management to a diverse organization of varying skill levels. Ensuring a safe and secure work environment, and creating personal development opportunities for staff including upskilling
Driving all aspects of infrastructure, including DevOps/SecOps/FinOps and site reliability engineering (SRE), web and application hosting, database services, container services, infrastructure as a service (compute, storage, containers, etc.), infrastructure as code/automation, network services, operations monitoring, risk and compliance (disaster recovery, vulnerability management, business continuity, etc.) and merger and acquisition IT support.
Development of a product-oriented organization responsible for the full product life cycle of its offerings.
Delivering products on-time using agile methodologies
Maintaining and maximizing the availability, quality, resiliency and efficiency of core and critical Infrastructure services, through ongoing automation and the utilization of emerging technologies. He/she will also drive transformation initiatives to sustain top operating standards by leveraging leading market practices.
Overseeing the end-to-end design and integration of infrastructure components in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP), right-sizing the resources (including understanding the costing model), providing the appropriate security and access. and to maintaining workflow continuity across all environments.
Supporting infrastructure risk/security compliance across the enterprise, including definition, creation and maintenance of a risk control framework that effectively manages security, risk and regulatory commitments.
Overseeing operations monitoring to ensure 24/7 operations including industrial, production facilities worldwide.
Modernizing enterprise voice and contact centers in offices worldwide.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 years IT experience in a large corporation with multiple lines of business.
A minimum of a bachelors Degree is required. Advanced Degree is preferred.
Experience in engineering and operations executive leadership roles with a demonstrated track record of technical innovation and leading technically diverse teams.
Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of upskilling staff as part of a larger digital transformation initiative
Proven track record of infrastructure transformation with Cloud and/or on-prem transformation. Demonstrated ability to own, transform, mature and deliver enterprise technology services.
Experience in IT infrastructure management in a complex environment across modern architectures and technologies to traditional platforms in a hybrid cloud environment.
Proven experience in IT strategic planning and capability development with success implementing technology strategy and roadmaps for a diverse enterprise portfolio.
Extensive knowledge of running and maintaining cloud-based and hybrid services across various service delivery models, as well as compute, storage, and databases.
Deep understanding of DevOps/SecOps/FinOps, etc. and Site Reliability Engineering with proven track record of leading a team to transform the efforts of an engineering organization.
Track record of building strategic partnerships with leading service providers and evolving sourcing models/contracts, including managed service contracts as well as co-development of innovative solutions.
Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic thought leader and be seen as a credible business partner by peers, clients and the extended Operations, Tech, Data & Analytics leadership team.
Ability to create and sustain a high performing team by recruiting, retaining, developing, performance managing and pipelining diverse talent. Experience developing top talent for succession planning.
Ability to improve value delivery of infrastructure operations globally by enhancing Cloud maturity and to set up Cloud COE while leading legacy infrastructure organization.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager.
Understanding of an industrial and highly-regulated environment including IoT and SCADA LAN
Knowledge of enterprise voice and contact center operations
