The Role:
As the Lead Web Developer, you will be responsible for the full stack design and development of our web applications. You will enforce coding standards and patterns and ensure all development teams are following this guidance through automated code scans, unit tests, and code reviews. You will work with a diverse and talented group of engineers, developers, business analysts, and other technologists on the current and future technical roadmap as we continue to innovate and mature digital platforms technology. You will work closely with our product owners and follow our agile methodology and SecDevOps delivery model. You will report to the technical lead for digital platforms and work with them to shape the future direction of web development.
Educational and Qualifications:
Core qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science and/or 10 years hands-on experience in full-stack web development
- Direct development experience using Web Content Management Systems especially Adobe Experience Manager and OpenText
- Expert level experience with JAVA and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
- Expert level experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ruby, Python, React, Vue, and Angular
- Expert level experience with the entire software development lifecycle for web application delivery
- Expert level experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation
- Extensive experience with Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, MariaDB, MySQL, and cloud providers
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum
- Experience in database design and optimization using SQL
- Experience with web application security
- Experience working on enterprise scale websites with an international team
Soft skills
- Work well within a closely connected team environment
- Good written and oral communication skills especially in English
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced global environment
