The SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) Marketing & Solutions organization creates compelling positioning, messaging, and content to help buyer’s buy and sales sell. The team acts as buyer and market experts in the platform and technology space influencing and supporting solution innovations, marketing strategies, integrated demand programs, and external company perception.

Role Description:
The platform market is growing and evolving rapidly as organizations rely on technology to fuel digital transformation, integrate SAP and non-SAP systems, and gain insights from data to enable applications that drive essential business processes and delight end users. In this role as Marketing & Solutions Specialist, SAP Business Technology Platform, your primary focus is to be a market, audience, and subject matter expert in the platform & cloud infrastructure domain, creating compelling positioning & messaging, driving product innovation, and creating business plans and content targeting key buyers and users including Developers, Enterprise Architects, C-level IT executives. This is an exciting opportunity to be a core part of the team driving growth for SAP’s next generation of cloud capabilities.
The Business Network Supplier Solution Marketing Specialist will report to the head of Business Network Solutions Marketing and will be responsible for developing suitable strategy, messaging, and positioning to support the Business Network Supplier business and achieve respective marketing objectives focused on free account suppliers. The solutions marketing specialist will develop themselves as a supplier expert in the business network market to be recognized as a thought leader and evangelist inside SAP influencing internal solution innovations, core marketing strategies, demand generation, and external company perception. This role will focus primarily on solution marketing of the business network supplier solutions for free account suppliers
Responsibilities and tasks include:
- Market and Business Situation - Understand the market economics, whitespace and opportunities, and business objectives in target markets.
- Strategic Planning - Contribute to marketing business planning based on corporate priorities and whitespace opportunities. Deliver recommendations to the field.
- Demand Generation Planning - Contribute to Integrated Marketing Management on program build through messaging, positioning, content, offers and respective solution/industry expertise.
- Thought Leadership and Evangelism - Serve as a public voice to the market, and act as a solution evangelist.
- Product Innovation - Advocate for the customer and provide market insights to influence and drive product innovation
- Value Proposition - Create compelling and differentiated positioning, messaging, and personas for key buyer audiences.
- Develop Core Assets and Offers - Develop customer facing assets and ensure respective rollout and availability to marketing program managers and digital execution teams.
- Customer Success - Recruit and create compelling customer references and submissions for customer awards (SAP, industry, and analyst)
- Influencer/ Analyst Management - Perform certain activities to support strategy/interaction with market stakeholders such as Analyst Relations, Public Relations, and other communication channels (i.e. social media) to deliver thought leader messages into the market.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate in a technology or engineering field, and/or marketing
- Minimum 3 years product marketing/management experience in the B2B software industry
- Strong understanding and usage experience with platform technologies such as: BI/analytics, integration software, application development tools, AI technologies
- Analytical mind-set, and innovative thinker with strong communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Exceptional organizational and writing skills; able to coordinate and manage multiple projects and collaborate in virtual teams
