KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Head of Design for SAP Business Network, you will be responsible for leading and managing an organization of user researchers & user experience designers to deliver high-quality design across our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop design strategies that drive business goals.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Lead, manage and hire a team of design managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to help them achieve their professional goals.- Develop and implement design strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth and engagement.
- Conduct user research to gain insights into customer needs, behaviors, and pain points, and use this information to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Create and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency and scalability across all products and supervise the content design team to ensure that all written and visual content is user-focused and aligned with the brand's voice and tone.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data analysts, to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our products.
- Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept to launch, and ensure that all designs are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Continuously monitor and analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and optimize user experiences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in design, user experience, and technology, and ensure that our team is constantly improving and evolving their skills and knowledge.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in design, user experience, and team leadership. They should be able to demonstrate a track record of success in designing and launching multiple products that have delivered exceptional user experiences and achieved business goals.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in design or a related field- 8 years of experience in design, with a focus on user experience and interaction design.
- 5 years of experience leading and managing design teams, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring designers.
- Experience in SaaS, B2B, or other technology-driven industries.
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates a range of design skills, including user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
- Experience in designing and launching responsive web and mobile applications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and strategies to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
