Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Expert with a strong background in molecular biology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user interface design principles, a focus on usability, and experience conducting user studies. Familiarity with design tools like Figma is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and improve user interfaces for our lab management and electronic lab notebook software.
• Conduct usability studies and user research to gather feedback and make data-driven design decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best user experience.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a UI/UX designer, preferably in the life sciences or healthcare sector.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills and projects.
• Proficiency in Figma and other design tools.
• Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with lab management software or electronic lab notebooks.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic front-end development skills.
• Understanding of the unique needs and workflows in a laboratory setting.
