Director of Individual Donor Relations Georgia

MISSION

 

Saprea exists to liberate individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, funded by a combination of public and private donations. Our offices are located in Lehi, Utah, and Alpharetta, Georgia.

 

  • We empower healing for individuals who were sexually abused as children or adolescents through retreats, support groups, and online resources.
  • We educate and engage parents and caregivers to protect children from sexual abuse through community and online resources.
  • We drive awareness to motivate individuals to take action against child sexual abuse.

 

JOB ROLE

 

The Individual Donor Relations Officer will lead and implement programs that cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors at the high-end annual level and major gift level from $10,000 - $100,000 helping to build the pipeline of donors.  This position will work closely with all members of the Saprea team to move donors through the fundraising cycle.  This role reports directly to the Executive Director.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Donor Relations:

  • Manage a portfolio of 100-150 prospects and current donors, executing annual plans to cultivate, solicit, and steward those donors.
  • Research prospects that align with mission to build pipeline in Georgia.
  • Proactively pursue business networking opportunities and establish relationships with business leaders to seek qualified leads.
  • Achieve monthly goals for prospect and donor visits; prepare visit reports and follow up; track activity.
  • Identify new donors to cultivate, solicit, steward, and recognize.
  • Communicate persuasively through personal visits, written proposals and appeal letters.
  • Participate in planning and staffing specific fundraising events.
  • Work effectively internally with diverse constituencies within the organization and externally with advisory boards and volunteers. 
  • Provide ongoing stewardship to donors and ensure recognition opportunities.
  • Develop and implement reporting and analysis aimed at constant improvement of fundraising results.
  • Communicate among cross-functional teams and follow established processes for execution of partnerships.
  • Provide accurate activity and pipeline reports including revenue and expense forecasts as required.

Research: 

  • Identify and qualify individual prospects.
  • Maintain current prospect and partner records.
  • Manage and execute appropriate strategies for identifying and soliciting new prospects and obtaining funding.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings and other cross functional teams to understand funding priorities and operational needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in individual or major gifts donor relations.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Proven relationship building experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.  
  • Established list of donors for cultivation.
  • At least 5 years nonprofit experience preferred.

 

Educational/Professional Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
