- Nurse residency unit with specialized training for clinical coaches/ preceptors

- Multiple clinical focuses including stroke, oncology and chemotherapy, general and vascular surgery
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.
Required Qualifications:
- Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
- Requires basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
- Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer the ability to assess, interact, communicate, and care for specific patient population, served by the department.
- Prefer the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Mandatory Education:
- Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
