What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Analyst position at Saratoga Hospital?
Summary of Position: This position will assist in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the security measures that protect for hospital’s computer networks and systems.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning and implementation of security measures, policies and procedures to protect the Information Technology environment.
- Install and use software tools available to monitor, maintain and protect hospital’s network and endpoint devices for data loss, intrusions, breaches etc…
- Participate in the monitoring of hospital’s networks and review of appropriate logs for; Data loss, intrusions, security breaches etc.
- Prepare reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches and assist in any resulting remediation.
- Monitor and maintain Patch management status for Server environment
- Stay abreast of the latest threats, trends, software and methods that will effectively protect the hospitals environment.
- Assist in the development of security standards and best practices for their organization and when and where appropriate recommend security enhancements to management or senior IT staff
- Stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, I including hackers’ methodologies, in order to anticipate security breaches.
- Assist end users when they need to install or learn about new security products and procedures
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a minor in computer science or information systems required. Experience in information systems role strongly preferred. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), SANS Global Information Assurance Certification(s) (GIAC), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent certifications preferred.
Salary Range: $23.46 - $41.25
Pay Grade: J
