Job Description/Responsibilities
The Operations Manager drives continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost which includes all Bottling, Processing and Materials operations on 3 shifts, seven days per week producing approximately 10 million cases per year. This includes responsibility for the training and development of ~300 team members focused on achieving performance targets and delivering the lowest landed cost.
- Lead the safety programs for Operations towards the goal of zero OSHA Recordable injuries. Ensure processes are designed for safe execution of work roles, and the right equipment to do a job safely is available. Ensure that safety is engineered into every project and new equipment installation with the development of written operational procedures and the completion of employee training prior to start of operation, in conjunction with the Safety Department's review and approval. Actively participate as a member of the Executive Safety Committee and promptly address issues identified by the team.
- Provides oversight and development for the Operations Department to execute effective and efficient bottling, processing, and materials supply of approximately 10 million cases per year. Develop and implement standardized systems to continuously improve productivity. Utilize Continuous Improvement processes, improve operator training by tracking line efficiency and downtime issues and analyze complex data to make data-based decisions. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices. Execute an effective Tier meeting process with relevant and impactful KPIs.
- Ensure the production of safe, high-quality product by driving improvement on Food Safety practices to ultimately result in HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 certifications. Lead Operations in housekeeping initiatives which are focused on keeping work areas and job sites orderly and clear of debris making them safer and more conducive to efficient work practices. Develop and implement a daily cleaning process for all employees. Maintain and update priorities to assist with daily issues and projects. Ensure completion of capital projects on time and efficiently. Leverage business systems to improve project and task management by direct reports.
- Lead and execute improvement projects for Operations. Identify capital projects to drive capacity and efficiency improvement. Identify and execute Kaizen events to reduce site losses to drive out waste, improve efficiency and streamline costs.Partner with Site and Corporate Engineering support teams to develop and execute CAPEX projects for site.
- Partner with product development teams to implement New Business Development projects to meet customer demands and improve SKU complexity. Identify productivity projects to maintain project pipeline for site and supply chain. Partner with OEM and material suppliers to improve material and equipment performance and reduce costs.
Qualifications/Requirements
MUST
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of relevant experience (minimum)
- Experience leading leaders in a Union environment
PREFERRED
- APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
- Familiar with beverage processing and its associated equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance

Salary range - $150,000 - $190,000
*Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.
