C3 in partnership with Dani Garcia presents: Casa Dani, located in Citizens Manhattan West. Casa Dani translates to Dani's House, derived from southern Spain's naming of small family restaurants as if they were the Chef's home, and that is precisely Chef Dani Garcia's intention, opening the doors to his house through avant-garde cuisine and a menu featuring items inspired by Spain's Mediterranean south. One of Spain's most internationally renowned chefs, having achieved 3 Michelin stars and the Bib Gourmand in 2015, Garcia's culinary style mixes surprising flavors, textures, and even temperatures without losing sight of his culinary roots.
We are seeking a General Manager to join our growing team. This role will provide an incredible opportunity to gain experience and visibility for the restaurant while working cohesively with the C3/DRG/Casa Dani team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, train, support, and mentor bar and restaurant staff at Casa Dani.
- Ensure all food and beverage ordering is exact and that proper mise en place is in place for product rotation to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to: floor management, team management, and the overall guest experience.
- Partner with HR and Operations to ensure accountability of all standards in compliance with local mandates, including, but not limited to: health, safety, emergency management, sanitation, maintenance, and licensing.
- Work closely with the Floor Managers, and chefs to ensure effective communication and collaboration with all FOH & BOH staff.
- Complete projects as assigned in collaboration with Disruptive Group, C3 and sbe teams.
- Ensure drink and food quality, efficiency, and techniques are in accordance with Company standards.
- Manage performance evaluations and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain the general appearance of the bar and restaurant, including furniture, surface, equipment, and service ware upkeep.
- Assist in the financial development of the restaurant including but not limited to: suggesting cost-saving and profit enhancement measures, reviewing the P&L, and other financial reports.
- Lead by example and develop team in accordance with core company values.
Skills and Requirements:
- Four (4) years of hospitality industry management experience in the restaurant environment
- Experience in 2 or 3 Michelin Star setting and high-volume restaurants
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend for an entire work shift to perform essential job functions
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs without assistance
- Exceptionally strong ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees
- Experience with Spanish Cuisine and working proficiency in Spanish, preferred
