Job Title: Talent Acquisition Recruiter

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for the recruiting screening and selection of qualified candidates within Scantron Corporation. Assists in the planning and execution of recruiting strategies and initiatives. Responsible for ensuring that opened positions are filled in a timely manner to support the needs of the business. Responsible for working with the Executive Director of Talent Acquisition to utilize all viable strategies. 

 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for coordinating advertising and posting open positions. Sources candidates using internet job fairs and other methods. Participates in external recruiting events. Builds relationships with key individuals and organizations in the community as recruiting sources. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges employment agencies community groups and organizations etc. 25%
    • Conducts application administration and reviews applications for completeness. Responsible for screening applications. Responsible for coordinating the selection process for all assigned requisitions. Responsible for scheduling and conducting interviews. Makes hiring recommendations and works with hiring manager to make hiring decisions. Makes employment offers to qualified candidates. 25%
    • Administers pre-employment testing. Updates candidate tracking system and HRIS is a timely manner. Creates offer letters and provides information to candidates. 10%
    • Coordinates drug screens and background checks. Notifies candidates if issues arise with start date drug screen or background check. Meets with leadership to strategize recruiting and develop action plans. 10%
    • Provides timely updates regarding daily recruiting numbers changes to hiring plan advertising needs and recruiting issues. Responsible for recruiting reporting auditing and statistics. 10%
    • Coordinates needed recruiting assistance and interview support. Coordinates scheduling of interviews. Coordinates internal job fairs and recruiting events. 10%
    • Trains supervisors and managers on hiring techniques and legal issues regarding hiring practices. 5%
    • Other responsibilities may include facilitating aspects of the new hire orientation. 5%

 

EDUCATION

    • Minimum of 2 years recruiting experience required
    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience

 

EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 4 years experience in process improvement methodologies
    • Knowledge of state federal and EEO regulations regarding hiring practices
    • Previous recruiting experience preferred
    • Understanding of IT technologies and processes such as protocols infrastructure middleware networking load-balancing devices mainframe software and hardware
    • Ability to consolidate abstract regulatory requirements into cohesive compliance actions
    • Ability to perform detailed analysis
    • Strong attention to detail
