About the Position
The Scenter Assistant Manager is a vital position at Scenthound, offering strong leadership, sales expertise, and exceptional and support the manager
customer service. This position requires:
Customer service experience (retail, restaurant)
Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
Reliable transportation
Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment

We are searching for a confident person who leads with integrity, honesty, and compassion. A successful Scenter Assistant Manager is an independent problem solver, adaptable, detail-oriented, and a compassionate dog lover who can work well with the manager and bring the team together! We are looking for a HANDS-ON leader who can assist and mange the day-to-day operations of the Scenter.
Tasks
Drive membership sales through health and wellness education
Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness and safety
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship for the Scenter employees
Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
Create an environment conducive to teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values
Manage client expectations; Resolve customer concerns
Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times
Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
Skills and Abilities
Effective communication with team members and dog parents
Attention to detail
Computer/ technology proficiency
Accountability; hold oneself and others to a high quality of services
Report to Scenter Manager and work as a team towards store goals.

Merit-based pay increases assessed every 6 months
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Apex, NC 27502: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (Required)
