What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures?
**Available shift: 3rd (7:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Process product for shipment to customers or for transfer to the warehouse. Includes coordinating with other team members and departments to ship promised product on current day's schedule. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions to the department SME. Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast paced, team environment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must be able to securely package and label custom electrical enclosures in such a manner as to ensure the highest quality of protection for our products, as well as to identify missing or extra items prior to shipment. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating with other team members and departments to ship scheduled product on the current day's schedule. Attendance is an essential job function. Familiarization with a tape measure, and experience operating a banding or wrapping machine is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Assist other team members in preparing skids for shipments, help in lifting heavy or awkward boxes from the conveyors.
