ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
The Schenectady County Finance Department has an opportunity available for an Accounting
Supervisor. This supervisory position is responsible for overseeing the classification of a variety of receipts and expenditures, supervising all cash management, performing cash flow analysis and for coordinating the computerized system of account keeping.
What are we looking for?
Candidates should possess a thorough knowledge of intermediate governmental accounting principles and procedures; good knowledge of computer accounting practices; and the ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of others.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
A. Possession of a Bachelor Degree awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S.
Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education in Accounting, Business
Administration, Management or a related field and two years of experience in the field of accounting; OR
B. Possession of an Associate Degree awarded by a college accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S.
Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education in Accounting, Business
Administration, Management or a related field and four years of experience as outlined in
(A) above.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
