Research Analyst - Technical

Schneider Electrics Energy Management Research Center (EMRC) team is seeking a  Research Analyst with Technical knowledge to join their team. 

The EMRC is a group dedicated to promoting thought leadership in four Schneider Electric end Markets – Data Center, Buildings, Residential and Infrastructure.  The EMRC conducts primary research, performs analysis, and publishes tools, white papers and reference designs.   

What will you do?

• Responsible for leading research projects, consulting with external customers, representing customer interests in product development projects, and presenting at industry events.
• Conceive, prioritize and lead research projects with the help of Senior Principal Technical Experts
• Author white papers and supporting industry publication articles and blogs
• Contribute to the company’s strategic direction by assessing the impact of technology trends on the business
• Assist on executive level presentation development with research and analysis
• Consult with customers on their challenges
• Present at industry conferences
• Deliver internal presentations
• Consult with other Schneider Electric teams to promote innovation and mutual learning within the company
• Develop spreadsheet models for development of online tools

• Ability to convert complex business concepts into simple-to-understand graphics
• Ability to present in public forums (such as speaker at trade shows / conferences)

• Ability to make decisions and manage project teams
• A key trait is the ability to help solve a technical problem that supports the business strategy.

What qualifications will make you successful? 

• BS in engineering or science and/or equivalent industry experience
• MBA or MS in engineering preferred
  
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  
• Published author with advanced writing, editing and communication skills
  
• Extensive experience in consulting with small, medium, and large customers
  
• Submission of published papers will be required
