Purpose: The Alumni and Annual Gift Officer works in conjunction with the Chief Advancement Officer(CAO), President and Associate Directors to implement dynamic and successful alumni relations and annual giving programs in support of Convent & Stuart Hall’s mission and fundraising goals. This role is charged with motivating alumni to be engaged and involved, as well as successfully facilitating annual giving programs. In addition, they work in collaboration with the Advancement Team on all Advancement goals and priorities. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works with the CAO and Associate Directors to implement a successful annual giving strategy, with an eye toward the long-term and consistent success of all fundraising needs of the school
  • Executes strategies designed to bring alumni closer to the school and coordinates a growing fundraising program for alumni with an emphasis on increasing alumni giving and participation annually
  • Executes all annual fund gift solicitation efforts, with a particular focus on current parents, alumni, past parents, employees and grandparents. 
  • Uses wealth screening data, giving history, staff knowledge, and other information to inform appeal segmentation and customized solicitation amounts for constituents    
  • Implements stewardship and recognition for annual gifts    
  • Analyzes data/results and reports on fundraising trends and results to Chief Advancement Officer, President and Associate Directors.             
  • Works with the Senior Advancement and Communication Team to create printed collateral (solicitation letters, acknowledgment letters, event invitations/marketing, brochures, giving forms, and website content), video and social media content, and other media/materials in support of annual giving, alumni relations, and other fundraising appeals    
  • Oversees and generates accurate editorial content and donor information for the school’s annual report and alumni magazine    
  • Collaborates with the Advancement Associate and the Database/Event Coordinator to ensure accurate and consistent data record keeping and gift acknowledgment in the Advancement office, including working in Raisers Edge alongside the team.
  • Performs record entry for all personal fundraising activity to ensure proper moves management and tracking of solicitation and cultivation progress.
  • Works with the Advancement team and President to further all fundraising goals. 
     


Qualifications:

  • Prefer a minimum of six years of professional experience in development/advancement or a related field.  

  • Strong interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Experienced working as part of a team and managing and motivating volunteers. 

  • Exhibit professional standards of performance, collegial demeanor, and the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality. 

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  • Requires ability to work independently and interdependently. 

  • Familiar with database applications, preferably Raiser’s Edge, data analytics, as well as adaptability in learning new technological applications.  

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Donor records are highly confidential; this position requires the highest level of ethical standards.

Physical Requirements 

  • Regularly lifting or carrying 1-20 lbs.  

  • Regular pushing/pulling/bending/stooping/kneeling

  • Regularly sitting or standing 4-8 hours  

  • Requires physical presence, work to be performed on campus**

  • Requires the ability to tolerate and work in a loud and active environment 

  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per year. 

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends**
