What You'll Be Doing
Under general direction, this position provides the market research, analytical framework and resources for accurate and timely Member and market information in support of strategic and operational business decisions.
- Assists in market research for ALCO, providing competitive data on interest rates for loans, credit cards and offers to achieve business targets. Focuses on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting marketplace trends and Member data as input to marketing and product development strategies/plans for individual Members.
- Gathers and presents results of marketing campaigns and identifies areas for improvement.
- Performs market competitiveness studies and market conditions research to innovate and improve existing financial products.
- Evaluates Member engagement metrics and develop new performance indicators to track Member loyalty and engagement.
- Supports marketing campaigns with robust data analysis, audience segmentation, A/B testing, market penetration, and product usage research.
- Forecasts market activity and Member trends using transactional data and panel data.
- Builds predictive and descriptive statistical models to support data-based decision-making.
- Identifies Member's purchasing behaviors using statistical data analysis and predictive modeling.
- Responsible for developing reports and ETL processes using SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
- Develops and delivers business-specific reports to various stakeholders and performs ad-hoc analyses as needed to support business goals.
- Manages and automates reports. Prepares presentations to stakeholders and communicates insights.
- Evaluates data sources' quality and accuracy and maintain databases to reflect up-to-date information for various business units and organizational reports.
- May assist with other business unit projects as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications
- Req Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
- 5 - 7 years of previous related experience required Previous experience in a financial institution is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skilled in data science, including but not limited to exploratory data analysis, forecasting, outlier detection, correlation, root cause analysis, and other unsupervised/supervised machine learning methods.
- Proficient coding in either Python, R, or SAS.
- Proficient in SQL. Advanced experience and understanding of T-SQL and ETL design and relational databases.
- Capable of communication data analysis to non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in working with data using Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of computer software and applications to support report development, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of marketing analytics and-or consumer analytics.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and market research techniques.
- Detail-oriented team player who is comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at various levels throughout the organization
