What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be skilled at each stage of the design process, designing experiences that allow customers to intuitively use our products.
Your job is cross-functional; you will collaborate with product and engineering to solve business problems, meet user needs, and innovate. You will rely on both qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in design thinking, great business acumen, and an aptitude for problem-solving. As a senior member of the team, you should have a passion for mentoring others and influencing the product development process. You should have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team or independently.
Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative product designs that solve new business problems
- Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members in product and engineering
- Brainstorm design ideas to inform the product development process
- Create wireframes and prototypes that drive ideations, support user testing, and become part of a design spec for engineering to build
- Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback
- Collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Follow brand, visual, and content style guidelines
- Craft new visual design elements
- Set UI requirements in detailed design specs
- Coordinate with other design team members to ensure consistent and accurate communication
- Can work backwards from a vision to pragmatically propose design iterations
- Work closely with Product to identify opportunities to improve the product
- Work closely with product engineers and provide assistance when needed
- Present product design ideas to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Shape the product development process with a user-centric mentality.
What You’ll Bring - Requirements
- 4 years experience in a UX product design role
- Proficiency in Figma
- A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives
- Mastery of design thinking user-centered design and other principles. Proven success in all phases of the design process.
- Familiarity with the product development process
- Extensive knowledge of user research and user testing methods
- Awareness of user reactions and responses to products
- An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Analytical mentality that prioritizes research and data
- Strong attention to design principals and detail
- Up to date on industry trends and market conditions
- Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve
- Recommends new tools and technologies
- Experience overseeing and mentoring junior UX designers
- Ability to effectively communicate and persuade others around design concepts
