Pay Range : $18-$20 / hour, depending on experience
Additional compensation available : Safety & Attendance bonus, $90 / month gas bonus, Steel-toe shoe reimbursement, discretionary year-end bonus.
SUMMARY
The General Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal products based on customer and company requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a safe work environment to make certain MIOSHA safety rules and regulations are followed.
- Perform production assignments as directed by supervisor.
- Read work orders or instructions to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
- Layout and mark reference points onto components.
- Proficient in operating machines such as cutoff saw, punch press, form roll and drill press, to cut and shape components as required completing the fabrication process.
- Fit and assemble components.
- Operate machines including drill presses, punch press, zipper remover, and grinders to complete assembly.
- Read and follow blue prints.
- Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, or calipers.
- Monitor equipment operation to ensure that products are not flawed.
- Constantly stand and operate machines.
- Follows all safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
