Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Own relationships with assigned foreman and/or other trade professionals to efficiently complete projects and work orders.

2. Plan, manage and perform projects from conception to completion with accurate records while also being the subject matter expert on equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance of building systems.

3. Read technical diagrams and blueprints, ensure that the completion of work as drawn will meet the desired end state, complete red line drawings for necessary changes during construction.

4. Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.

5. Follow and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety, environmental practices, area processes, and waste reduction opportunities.

6. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

7. Understand. Create. Simplify.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems

Limited Energy Journeymen Licenses WA & ID

Honeywell Access Controls Certification

Notifier Fire Alarms Certification

Three (3) years of experience as a fire alarm technician.

Skilled at initiating, building and maintaining healthy relationships with co-workers while keeping the overall goals of the company in mind

Read, understand, follow, and strictly enforce safety procedures

Work various shifts, hours, and days depending on workload

Valid Driver’s License

Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

NICET III or IV Certification 

NICET Certification in Special Hazard Suppression Systems

Limited Energy Administrator WA & ID

Possession of, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire—Leviton Certification

Physical Requirements

Lift and maneuver 40 pounds frequently

Pull weight from high/low shelves

Ability to safely ascend and descend ladders

Reach
Bend

Grip

Twist

Stand for at least 8 hours
