JOB TITLE / DEPARTMENT: Lift Supervisor / Lift Services
POSITION TYPE: Seasonal
PAY RATE: 18.00-19.50 D.O.E.
SUPERVISORY: Yes, assists 80 staff SUPERVISED BY: Lift Services Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Supervision of lift attendants/operators/scanners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interviewing, hiring, paperwork and payroll process. Teaches and directs up to 70 staff in the proper lift operations techniques. Stresses safety, guest satisfaction and Schweitzer regulations. Schedules crew members.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job allows employee to vary physical position or activity for comfort in some instances. Will sit up to 2 hours; will stand/walk up to 8 hours. Maximum combined time for walking and standing is 8 hours. Will occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.; will use hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling; required repetitive use of feet is not required. Worksite is can be up to 100% outside. Exposed to normal and extreme cold ranges. Hazards are mechanical, electrical, burns, and explosives. All sensory skills are needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and events. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
SKILLS: Management and instruction skills; familiarity with Lift Operations
EDUCATION: English reading, writing, communication and basic math.
EXPERIENCE: On the job experience in Lift Operations 3 years minimum.
LICENSE NEEDED: Valid Drivers License
MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Snowmobile, chairlifts, hand tools, brooms, shovels, rakes, drills, pulaski, snow blower, radio scanner, computer.
JUDGEMENT / MENTAL COMPLEXITY: Moderate/Complex
