PERKS & BENEFITS:
POSITION TYPE: Seasonal, full time and part time
WAGE RANGE: $15.00-$18.00/hr.
SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Facility & Grounds Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for removal of snow from decks and walkways of all Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities. Remove trash and cardboard and deposit in compactor and baler and conduct other maintenance functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS: Operates a snowblower and shovel to remove snow and ice from decks, walkways and private condo properties. Operate trash compactor and cardboard baler. Must present a neat, clean and safe appearance and deal with guests and owners in a pleasant, service-oriented manner. Utility Worker will perform other maintenance duties as needed or as directed by Facility and Grounds Manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing and walking position for up to 8 hours. Breaks available every two hours in most cases. Will lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; could lift up to 100 lbs. infrequently with assistance if needed. Will bend, climb, squat, twist and kneel frequently. Will reach above shoulder level occasionally. Will use hands for grasping and pushing/pulling. All sensory skills are required. Worksite is 90% outside and 10% inside. Exposed to all temperatures and moisture conditions. Hazards are mechanical, burns, ice and snow. Employee needs to wear boots, gloves, hat and may need goggles for cold protection.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have or be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities. Will initiate guest contact on a daily basis to ensure their comfort, answer questions and provide general assistance whenever possible. Duties are listed as guidelines and this position is not necessarily limited to these items.

LICENSE NEEDED: Valid Driver's License (preferably over 21 years of age for insurance purposes) insurable by Schweitzer's insurance carrier preferred, restrictions available upon request.
BACKGROUND: Background check required
MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Snow blowers, shovels, Pulaski, any other equipment related to snow removal.
