Job description
Immediate opening for a Full Time, 8 hour day shift, Monday-Friday Machine Operator (Saw Operator) to join our stone shop. The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining, feeding and overseeing the operation of the Waterjet Saw. This includes loading product on and off the machine, as well as loading programs and performing preventative maintenance.
Typical Duties
- Ensure all projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintaining the operation of the Waterjet
- Utilize job processing software to monitor production flow and maintain production schedules
- Select material to cut from cut list provided by Programming
- Confirm layout of shapes and re-nest shapes if necessary
- Stage and position product in staging area
- Unload the machine with quality checks
- Operate vacuum lifter safely and efficiently
- Physically lift and move smaller parts
- Participate in production studies and improvements to improve efficiency
- Accomplish production results by working with the machine team
- Read shop drawings and fabrication work orders for production, check slab layout and layout in Program file
- Use PC computer to read shop drawings and Moraware for calendar of order to complete projects
- Lift up to 50-100 lbs
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
