What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Marketing & Communications position at Science Mill?
This position is an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced marketing professional to be part of the senior management team to develop, implement and grow a marketing program that supports a fast-paced, innovative STEM museum. This position can be either full-time employment or a part-time contract position with hybrid working environment. Responsibilities include creative development and implementation of the marketing, communications, and public relations campaigns for the Science Mill, ensuring that our image and consistent message are maintained through all communications.
key qualifications & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong command of the English language, grammar rules, and exceptional verbal and written communications skills; ability to rework communications to fit a variety of audiences
Recent demonstratable experience in a marketing position
Coordinating marketing campaigns on various platforms, including social media, e-marketing, and websites
Partner with communications, community relations, and media stakeholders to:
- Drive community engagement that results in “earned media.”
- Ensure localization of message/timing across media channels
Coordinate the design, printing and distribution of marketing and communication materials
Working with various internal departments as needed on specific marketing needs
Managing marketing projects pipeline and timelines, updating leadership regularly
Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create thorough documentation and interface effectively with individuals at various levels.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
