A successful Special Education Teacher will:
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)
- Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments
- Collaborate with general education teachers to utilize appropriate methods of learning delivery and instruction to meet the needs of each student
- Prepare timely progress reports for each student
- Maintain regular communication with parents by means of email, phone calls, conferences, and progress reports
You’ll need to provide the following education & licensing requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- AZ Department of Education Special Education certification
