Position Description:

• Prepare espresso-based coffee drinks and all drinks/food on the menu.
• Lead fellow Baristas when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is not present.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooters Amazing customer service experience
• Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
• Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
• Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors
• Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
• Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner
• Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
• Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an Illinois Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or earn certification within the first 30 days of employment
• Work well in a team environment
• Positive attitude and passion for working with people

• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple duties
• Ability to raise, lower, and carry objects up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout a day
• Ability to stand in an upright position for extended periods of time
• Ability to hear, see and speak within a loud environment
• Ability to stoop and occasionally climb throughout a day
• Ability to work with hands-on one- and two-handed activities constantly throughout a day
• Regular and predictable attendance
