ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain company accounting records and cash flow.
- Assist with preparation of journal entries and monthly recurring entries.
- Work with Senior Accountant to post, balance and reconcile various general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
- Assist with cost accounting analysis reporting.
- File appropriate tax and business reports with government agencies.
- Help support the year end reporting for financial audit, benefit plan audit and tax return preparation.
- Act as backup support for Accounts Receivable transactions and Accounts Payable approval process.
- Partner with payroll to prepare and complete journal entries related to payroll.
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts such as misc. A/R accounts and payroll accrual accounts.
- Perform financial analysis reporting for subdivisions and entities of the company and other analysis as needed.
- Perform various Scot Forge accounting functions such as scrap accounting, MasterCard activity accounting and other monthly accounting tasks.
- Assist with various accounting responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2-5 years prior accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel) required
• JD Edwards ERP system helpful.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
