JOB TITLE: Food Pantry Coordinator, Full-Time, 40 hours per week
WAGE AND HOUR LAW STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: The Food Pantry Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the packaging of food orders, directing volunteers, and maintaining the pantry area. Current schedule is 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Hours subject to change.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma
2. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
3. Ability to lift 40 lbs
4. Ability to use stairs and stand frequently
5. Maintain an organized and clean workspace
6. Ability to work cohesively with volunteers and staff
7. Maintain positive rapport with clients, volunteers, and donors
8. Knowledge of Microsoft Office helpful
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
1. Responsible for operation of the food pantry during pantry hours
2. Oversees food pantry; works in coordination with Case Manager to ensure staff/volunteer coverage when pantry is open, on USDA delivery days, and when sorting/stocking is needed
3. Trains and oversee volunteers who are assigned to the food pantry
4. Keep cardboard boxes neat and organized, break down any unusable boxes promptly and place in outside bin
5. Take pantry trash to dumpster each day
6. Maintain stock of the food pantry and communicate needs with Case Manager
7. Assists with loading and unloading donations
8. Regularly clean pantry areas
9. Maintain compliance with USDA and Health Department requirements
10. Attend yearly training to maintain a food handler’s permit (paid for by SRSH)
11. Attend food drives at various locations
12. Maintain temperature logs
13. Pick up donations from stores and local businesses
14. Maintain Free Table and ensure Free Farmers Market area is straightened and product is purged as needed.
15. Complete donation paperwork which includes getting estimated weights of donated items and filling out the donation log
16. Perform other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
