Senior Controller

At Scoutbee, we are looking for a Senior Controller to join our team in our Berlin office, and be responsible for financial reporting, tracking company performance, providing insight to business partners, and supporting and driving cross functional projects. 

You will be expected to be highly engaged and contribute to team and company success. We are a strong team with a communicative and open culture, and combine a solution oriented approach with a can-do attitude to drive business value. 

Your role in our beehive 

• Responsibility for and delivery on standard financial reporting packages for Scoutbee (Month end close, reporting, analyses, commentary, KPI tracking)
• Business Partnering with Management and Divisional Leads 
• Involvement on cross functional strategic projects 
• Assisting in the company's financial modeling, business case building, and planning cycles 
• Work with our Accounting team on continuous improvement of controlling and reporting structures and processes
• Gain insight into an exciting online B2B startup, learn day-to-day management and build functional expertise
• Work with people from some of the best business schools in the world

What you bring to our beehive

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Economics or Management.
• 5 years of experience in Controlling, Budgeting and/or Finance business partnering
• Experience using ERP systems, data relationships, and financial model building (Excel, VBA, Powerquery).  Netsuite reporting experience is a strong plus
• Understanding of financial reporting, accounting, financial modeling, and German GAAP (HGB).  Experience with consolidating financial statements is a plus 
• Strong cross functional communication skills - you can “Talk Finance” to a non-Finance audience and pitch your message to differing stakeholder group
• High levels of accuracy and a critical eye for reporting and presentation
• Engagement and willingness to challenge processes, expectations, and targeted outcomes 
• Work independently on multiple long term projects in a structured and results driven way
• Able to see the big picture and consider multiple solutions to find the right outcome
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
