ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Have a firm understanding, both theoretical and applied on multiple mechanical, electrical, energy management, and electronic components to operate and drive HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, including but not limited to RTU's, racks, and condensing units, self-contained refrigeration equipment and all types of commercial HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and repair problems involving HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
- Install equipment or parts and performs general maintenance on both HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
- Customer based activities requiring an individual possessing traits of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgement, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a credible manner.
- Serving as a member of the SCR team displaying timely, efficient and profitable accomplishment of assigned jobs and tasks,
- Performs other allied duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Degree or diploma in HVAC/R Preferred.
- Must be EPA certified for handling refrigerant.
- Must have PLT license or be registered with the state as a Registered Unlicensed PLT or apply for your Registered Unlicensed PLT within 90 days of your start date.
- 3-5 Years of experience in HVAC/R Preferred. Previous experience with controls systems is extremely helpful.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a neat and clean appearance.
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to climb up and down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts in safe manner.
- Ability to work efficiently given time pressures, non-standard schedule, extreme weather conditions, varying customer needs and demands, and back-log constraints.
- Experience, knowledge, and proven skills in accurately diagnosing and efficiently accomplishing a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and the organization.
- Mechanical ability and excellent problem solving skills.
- Current driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Interest and initiative in maintaining HVAC and Refrigeration skills through a combination of self-study, workshops, and other development activities.
