The Lead, Environmental Services will be the shift lead and primary contact for the night shift staff. Performs job functions to support environmental care: Patient Care area cleaning, Non-Patient Care area cleaning, Linen Service, Waste Removal, Sharps container removal, Meeting/Event set-up/breakdown, and Infection Control/Sanitation. Primarily responsible for lead duties such as staff scheduling, training, supervising and monitoring for quality assurance while utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. Follows established policies and practices to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements. Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.
This is a full-time position, located at our Scripps Mercy campus in Hillcrest. Must be able to work Day shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and varied schedule including weekends.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: 1 years of EVS Housekeeping experience in healthcare.
