The Utility Manager performs, under limited supervision within the organization to assist with direction, planning, and management of the daily operations of the Utilities Department to ensure regulatory compliance for all local, state, and federal laws. The Utility Manager works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and mission, reports major activities to executive level administrator through oral and written communication as well as presentations and reports, providing leadership, direction, daily oversight for the department, meeting and communicating with citizens and various professionals, business, and community groups to answer inquiries, supervises the wok of subordinate technical staff, and collaboratively engages with consulting engineers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Natural Sciences, or a related field with ten years of progressively responsible experience in public or business administration or corporate environment
  • Preferred candidates will also have a relevant master’s degree and strong experience in utility management or regulatory environment
  • Valid South Carolina Driver’s License

Hiring Range: $78,437.16-$86,600.97 depending on experience & qualifications (2080 hours/year)
