Delivery Route Driver

Sea Well Seafood is a midsize family business where we care about our employees and respect each other. We specialize in fresh local fish, shellfish, and lobster. We pride ourselves on providing high quality seafood and excellent “small town” customer service.

We are currently hiring ROUTE DELIVERY DRIVERS for our wholesale division in Stonington Connecticut. Drivers start their day loading their truck at the Town Dock in Stonington Borough, then spend their day delivering to some of the finest restaurants, casinos, and banquet facilities in the area.

We are open 6 days a week, closed on Sundays, but Saturdays may be required. The shift start around 7:00 or 8:00 am and ends anywhere between 1:00 and 4:00 pm, depending on the day and the route. We use 14ft – 22ft refrigerated box trucks.

A clean driving record is required. A DOT health card is needed but can be acquired after being hired. Customer service, teamwork and positive attitudes are expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist warehouse managers with unloading trucks and/or boats, packing customer orders, rotating products, and receiving new product.
• Keep loading dock and warehouse areas clean and organized.
• Load delivery trucks and keep everything labeled and organized for deliveries.
• Care for stock in compliance with the Company's requirements as well as Local, State and Federal food/seafood regulations.
• Deliver products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Clean, maintain, inspect and monitor delivery vehicles daily.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some experience in warehouse work, delivery driving, and/or other related fields
• Ability to handle a consistent physical workload and lift 70 lbs regularly.
• A team player who is communicative and organized.
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Clean driving record (provide a DMV drivers report at in person interview)
• DOT health card (this can be acquired after hire)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
