What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mill Manager position at SeAH Steel USA LLC?
The Mill Manager position will support maintenance of machinery and facilities in a condition of operating excellence so that full process use is maintained at all times. The position will also involve process improvement projects; assist in establishing and facilitating changes to procedures and Best Practices for the factory.
Must be available and able to work outside the normal work week schedule when needed (Emergency breakdowns and Scheduled Outages)
Participates in establishing, evaluating and facilitating Best Practices for both the Maintenance and Operations Departments.
Works with Vendors, Outside Contractors and Suppliers to obtain quotes for projects, parts and other services.
Collects and evaluate data, and develop plans for assignments that may involve design application.
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Industrial Engineering preferred
Years of Experience: 5 ? 7 years of experience as an Engineer within OCTG pipe manufacturing.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Auto CAD.
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
Understand and evaluate utilization rates for product throughput.
Read, write and speak English in a clear and effective manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical requirements:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations / Ability to see 20-20 when corrected / Ability to identify and distinguish colors
The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE
